ABOUT JULIAN SCHWARTZ

My passion for videography started in the 8th grade when I made a video series for history class presentations.  Once in high school, I enrolled in TV/Video classes and was actively involved with the Mt. Lebanon Student News program throughout my high school career.  While in high school, I started my freelance business, JJW Productions, filming and editing concerts for teachers, audition videos for friends, and Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremonies/receptions for several families at my Synagogue.

Starting my college career at Robert Morris University, I continued filming and editing different videos for my classes, the band, and the dance team.

After graduating from RMU in 2014, I started working at VITAC Closed Captions in Canonsburg PA, first as a Production Coordinator and eventually being promoted to a Schedule Administrator.

In March of 2022, I started working for WPGH Fox53 in Pittsburgh PA as a Master Control Operator on overnights where I prepped shows, commercials, and promos for air and monitored the live feeds.​

As of July of 2022, I started working for Window Nation as a Scheduling Coordinator full-time while continuing my freelance operatios on the side.

In February of 2023, I started playing in a local band as their horn and percussionist.  After a year, my role was switched to Social Media Manager, creating their website and filming videos/taking photos at various gigs/shows throughout the area.  I also create their Facebook events and look for new venues that the band can play at.  While I no longer play with the band full-time, I do continue to play a handful of songs during shows when I'm able to.

JJW PRODUCTIONS

Starting in 2008, JJW Productions began filming and editing the Mt. Lebanon Jazz Night for 3 years for the Mt. Lebanon High School band director.  In the years following, JJW expanded business filming the talent show for Howe Elementary School from 2008-2009 and in 2010 filmed and edited the Mt. Lebanon High School Choir Cabaret.

In 2009 and 2010, JJW Productions filmed and edited two army band audition videos, two Bar Mitzvah receptions, and one Bat Mitzvah ceremony rehearsal.

Between 2012 and 2016, JJW Productions filmed and edited the RMU Dance Team recruitment video and the RMU Band recruitment video.

In addition to videography, JJW Productions also shoots photos for head shots, engagement photos, and other ceremonies/events.
